A series of rocky outcroppings are a prominent feature of this Sahara Desert landscape near the Terkezi Oasis in the country of Chad.

This image was acquired on October 22, 2000, by Landsat 7’s Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) sensor.
This is a false-color composite image made using near infrared, green, and red wavelengths, and has been sharpened using the sensor’s panchromatic band.
